Job summary

The role of the area administration officer is a fundamental role in ensuring the company is able to deliver its contractual requirements by ensuring we have the right resources available to our customers.

This role requires exceptional communication, information and technology skills and knowledge using a range of programmes to support (but not limited to) rota planning, checking timesheets, managing annual leave, absences and dispatching mobile resources.

Main duties of the job

To supporting an area operations team to facilitate the time management of personnel and the maximising of ambulance resources by building staff rotas. Working as part of a team with both health care professionals and administrative staff utilising excellent communication and IT skills. This role will include rostering staff, communicating shifts requiring cover, checking timesheets, managing staff leave requests/sickness and using the online dispatch system to allocate jobs to our mobile resources. The role will include but is not limited to human resources, bookings, accounts, and training administration.

Role 1 Medical provides frontline emergency, urgent and routine ambulance support to NHS services such as ambulance services, hospitals and clinical commissioning groups. 1. Rostering staff in accordance with their contractual terms and the Working Time Directive.

2. General office administration tasks.

3. Assisting with booking of patient transport.

4. Communicating with our staff and hospital departments.

5. Processing and resolving accurately requests from customers, service users and partner organisations.

6. Inputting data accurately into our internal IT Systems.

7. Must have a good understanding of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

8. Building good working relationships with customers and colleagues.

9. Ensuring customer and patient data is handled securely at all times.

10. Must be adaptable and flexible to the ever-changing business needs.

11. To ensure you maintain the professional image associated with Role 1 Medical Ltd.

12. The position may require travel to our other sites on sites on occasion. Therefore, your own transport and a willingness to travel are desirable.
