Job summary
This is an exciting senior leadership role within the Clinical Team, with direct responsibility for the clinical education and training team in the UK and an opportunity to develop innovative and interactive training within a fast moving digital environment. Responsible for the day to day operations of the team to ensure that high quality, relevant training for frontline staff and other clinically informed training for other functions is developed and delivered. Adopt data informed approach to ensure that training development and delivery is reviewed and improved in line with organisational requirements and learner experience. Work closely with the Clinical Director to develop an external-facing Kooth Academy for Training and Education; supporting and liaising with senior colleagues to ensure that training is scalable and effective in line with our clinical i-RESPOND model services.

Training
Responsible for ensuring that the training programme for Kooth practitioners and other clinically relevant training is fit for purpose and in line with local and national requirements.
Sources training from external partners as required and ensures that any third party delivery is in line with the Kooth i-RESPOND model to ensure consistency.
Leads on the development and delivery of training within scope of experience and expertise and supports others to do the same.
Develops and embeds a train-the-trainer programme to ensure a scalable approach.
Leads on measuring the effectiveness of training, setting target metrics that demand high standards and striving for continuous improvement in those metrics.
Leads on developing innovative modes of training delivery to maximise engagement and impact, including user voice and co-production.
Works closely with the Clinical Director to consider opportunities for external training, strengthening the Kooth brand across a broad geographical area.
Works closely with the product and service delivery senior team to ensure that new developments are embedded within training; leads on ensuring that the training policies and guidance documents are always up to date.
Leads on the implementation of the Kooth Education and Training Academy.
Management & Leadership
Responsible for the day to day leadership and management of the clinical education & training team in the clinical function in the UK, contributing to the clinical leadership of the clinical function and collaboration with other functions, especially service delivery.
Works closely with the Clinical Director in setting the strategy for the team, in line with the wider clinical function and organisational priorities.
Leads and builds a high performing training team and ensures they are delivering on key strategic objectives.
Supports colleagues outside of the UK to ensure that practice is aligned with the wider Kooth framework.
Sets a tone of compassionate leadership, providing supportive challenge and demanding high standards in line with business expectations - being confident with difficult conversations and creating a no blame culture.
Support the HR function in confidential matters that may result from performance issues - this may include leading investigations.
Be involved in relevant leadership decisions as appropriate in conjunction with the US counterpart.
Analytics, Reporting & Insights
Prepares monthly reports for the Clinical Director and wider team to demonstrate team activity, trends and challenges and leads on improvement plans.
Prepares reports for board reporting.
Uses data from a variety of sources to identify gaps in training needs and addresses through corrective action.
Supports the incident reporting framework relating to practice, including any investigations and root cause analysis plus reporting of lessons learned as appropriate.
Takes ownership of LMP requirements as relevant to clinical training and education (in liaison with the Learning and development & Community Systems Lead).
Responsibility with other relevant senior leaders and managers for training compliance targets.
Stakeholder Management
Works closely with senior staff in the service delivery department and across other functions in the organisation as well with external partners as appropriate to ensure that the training programme meets the relevant and differing needs and is open to discussing new ideas and facilitating engagement and cross-organisational working.
Represents the company at industry conferences and meetings, building relationships with key stakeholders and uses expertise and experience to demonstrate the companys commitment to excellence when it comes to training Kooth practitioners.
Leads on the provision of a timely response to data requests from local and national stakeholders as appropriate.
Clinical Governance
Remains up to date with relevant evidence based practice in the clinical domain generally and within digital health specifically; and ensures that the training programme is in line with regulatory and best practice frameworks.
Ensures an appropriate level of governance and or support for relevant teams where there is a training element relevant to service user activity, including product, content and service delivery.
Supports the training team specialists to conduct practice audits as appropriate to role as part of the overall governance function and with a particular focus on probation audits.
Ensures that team/departmental gaps in knowledge are identified and addressed in a timely manner, to ensure that the training provided is comprehensive and up to date.
Works closely with the Head of Clinical Governance to ensure continuous quality improvement and assurance in line with organisational strategy
Safeguarding
Remains up to date with relevant safeguarding legislation across the organisation, working closely with the Head of Safeguarding to identify and address any gaps and ensure reflected in the training programme.
Supports the safeguarding team in embedding safeguarding processes, including risk management, risk reporting and risk prevention through relevant training.
Supports the safeguarding team in offering specialist safeguarding advice within scope of role and as advised by the Head of Safeguarding.
Ensures that policies relating to safeguarding are disseminated as appropriate through induction training (and at other points as appropriate).
Supports team members (if within scope of role) to contribute to the on call provision; this may also include being part of the on call rota.
