About us
Norfolk Primary Care CIC (NPC) is an established Primary Care provider
of clinical services. We are a key
provider of Primary Care services in the Norfolk & Waveney system working
with the local GP practices.
NPC has been sub-contracted to provide a Primary Care / General Practice type service within the
Emergency Departments (ED) of the local Acute Hospitals. This comprises
of a team of clinicians who are GPs, Advanced
Nurse Practitioners or Advanced Clinical
Practitioners working across the various locations. The staff provide additional Primary Care support to the ED by streaming patients away from the Front
door into a Service capable of supporting demand.
The aim of the GPFD is to reduce the number of avoidable attendances seen within ED, to direct the
patients to appropriate services and free up ED staff to see appropriate
emergency patients.
