Job summary
Barchester Healthcare is seeking an experienced regional trainer to join their Learning & Development Team. The Peripatetic Operational Trainer role involves delivering exceptional quality training and development to Barchester's 240 care homes and hospitals across the UK. The successful candidate will work closely with the wider L&D and Operational Teams to identify and deliver training where it is needed, ensuring Barchester's residents and patients receive the highest quality of care.
Main duties of the job
As a Peripatetic Operational Trainer, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering training across Barchester's care homes and hospitals. This will include statutory, mandatory, and refresher training, as well as induction programs. You will work with the Training and Compliance Managers to schedule and deliver training, both in-person and via virtual platforms like Zoom. Accurate reporting and monitoring of training completion will be a key part of the role. The position is home-based, but travel to Barchester's sites across the UK will be required, potentially including occasional overnight stays.
