The Peripatetic Operational Trainer role involves delivering exceptional quality training and development to Barchester's 240 care homes and hospitals across the UK. The successful candidate will work closely with the wider L&D and Operational Teams to identify and deliver training where it is needed, ensuring Barchester's residents and patients receive the highest quality of care.

Main duties of the job

As a Peripatetic Operational Trainer, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering training across Barchester's care homes and hospitals. This will include statutory, mandatory, and refresher training, as well as induction programs. You will work with the Training and Compliance Managers to schedule and deliver training, both in-person and via virtual platforms like Zoom. Accurate reporting and monitoring of training completion will be a key part of the role. The position is home-based, but travel to Barchester's sites across the UK will be required, potentially including occasional overnight stays.

You will plan, co-ordinate and deliver training against company objectives and training statistics. About YouA background in care is important, together with a Diploma Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, a C&G's 7300 or equivalent and experience training in statutory & mandatory induction and refresher training subjects. A good level of competence in IT and a full driving knowledge are essential. About The RoleYou will support homes and hospitals across UK to meet our exacting induction, refresher, statutory and mandatory training standards delivered either face to face or by Zoom. The role will be home based; due to the requirement to travel to sites to deliver training this may include overnight stays.You will work with Training & Compliance Managers to plan, schedule and deliver training where required in our homes and hospitals.
