Job summary
As an Activities Coordinator at a Barchester care home, you'll help to create a stimulating environment that enables the care home to deliver exceptional all-round care and support for its residents. The role involves devising imaginative, fun and motivational activities that suit every interest and ability, and getting to know the residents and their families to create tailored activities programmes focused on maximising everyone's wellbeing, independence and social engagement.
Main duties of the job
Your role as an Activities Coordinator will involve planning and coordinating a range of activities for the care home residents, from arts and crafts to outings and social events. You'll need strong organisational skills and a driven, enthusiastic approach to inspire both residents and staff to get involved. Previous experience in a similar role is ideal but not essential, as full training will be provided to help you develop your skills and progress your career.
