Job summary
As a Senior Care Assistant at a Barchester care home, you'll look after the different needs of our residents to enable us to deliver quality, person-centred care and support. You'll supervise and inspire a team of dedicated Care Assistants, and support the clinical team in areas such as medication, assessments, care plans or care reviews. You'll always respect the dignity and preferences of our residents, and play your part in creating a warm, welcoming and vibrant environment.
Main duties of the job
In this role, you'll be responsible for supervising and inspiring a team of dedicated Care Assistants, as well as supporting the clinical team in specific areas. You'll need to have an NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care, along with specific knowledge of clinical care for the elderly. You should be warm-hearted, compassionate and committed to providing individualised care and support to our residents. There are opportunities for ongoing training and development, and many of our Senior Carer Assistants progress into other roles such as Care Practitioner, Regional Carer or nursing.
