Job summary

As a Hospitality Host at a Barchester care home, you'll help to create a stimulating environment for our residents so that we can give them the all-round care and support they deserve. You'll provide a friendly, engaging and helpful service in our dining room and bar areas, enhancing the lives of all our residents.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you'll be responsible for providing a welcoming and attentive service to our residents and their families in the dining room and bar areas. You'll engage with the residents, ensuring they have an enjoyable dining experience and feel comfortable in the home. The role doesn't require any specific qualifications, but experience in a similar setting would be ideal. You'll need to be personable, caring, and genuinely interested in the residents' wellbeing.

ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Hospitality Host at a Barchester care home, you'll help to create a stimulating environment for our residents so that we can give them the all-round care and support they deserve. We want our homes to be warm and welcoming with interesting events and first-class hospitality. As a Hospitality Host, you'll have an important part to play in making sure that happens. In particular, you'll provide a friendly, engaging and helpful service in our dining room and bar areas. It's a fulfilling role that will give you a real opportunity to enhance the lives of all our residents.

ABOUT YOUYou don't need any particular qualifications to join us as a Hospitality Host, but experience in a similar setting would be ideal. Personable and caring, you'll take a genuine interest in our residents, engaging with them and their families on a regular basis. If that sounds like you, we'll give you every opportunity to develop your skills further with courses that are designed to give you confidence in all aspects of your role. Because you might be serving alcohol, you'll need to be over the age of 18.
