Job summary
As a Charge Nurse at a Barchester Care Centre, you'll use your compassion and experience to make sure our teams are delivering the quality care we're known for. You'll provide clinical leadership to the nursing team, set an example by building meaningful relationships with patients, and collaborate with families to create and evaluate care plans. You'll also support senior clinical staff, mentor new staff, and ensure patients are treated with dignity and respect.
Main duties of the job
The Charge Nurse role involves assessing patients' physical, psychological, and social needs, collaborating with families to create and evaluate care plans, allocating key workers, orienting and mentoring new staff, and supporting senior clinical staff. You'll need to have a current NMC registration, supervision qualification, experience in producing care plans and risk assessments, and up-to-date knowledge of clinical practices and regulatory frameworks. Strong leadership, clinical, and mentorship skills are also required.
