Job summary
As an Activities Coordinator at a Barchester care home, you'll help to create a stimulating environment that enables the delivery of exceptional all-round care and support for residents. The role involves devising imaginative, fun and motivational activities that suit every interest and ability, with the aim of maximizing the wellbeing, independence and social engagement of the residents.
Main duties of the job
The Activities Coordinator role requires flexibility in start and finish times depending on the scheduled events, as well as working alternate weekends. The successful candidate will need to be warm, empathetic and personable, with strong organizational skills and a driven mindset to get things done. Infectious enthusiasm and a creative approach are also essential to inspire residents and staff to get involved in activities both within the home and in the local community.
