Job summary
The Barchester Capital Team is recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join their Inverness office. This is a varied role where you will assist with the day-to-day accounting and reporting of capital expenditure across Barchester's portfolio of 240 care homes and hospitals. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely processing and review of capex and major revenue requests, monitoring expenditure against budgets, and the smooth running of the capex approval processes.
Main duties of the job
As an Accounts Assistant, your day-to-day responsibilities will include monitoring expenditure against budgets, ensuring the smooth running of the capex approval processes, and the timely payment of capital invoices. You will also be responsible for recording and monitoring requests accurately in the appropriate budgets, dealing with supplier queries, reconciling capital supplier statements, and assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of various equipment registers. Additionally, you will be required to prepare information for the Capex committee.
