Job summary

As a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, you'll make sure the environment is clean and well-maintained, so residents feel at home and staff can do their jobs well. You'll be responsible for a wide range of maintenance tasks, from fixing leaky taps to gardening, and will work closely with the General Manager on budget planning and liaising with contractors.

Main duties of the job

You can expect plenty of variety as a Head of Maintenance with Barchester. You'll turn your hand to all sorts of tasks within the care home building as well as in the gardens and grounds. That could mean fixing a leaky tap one minute and planting some new bulbs the next. You should be comfortable working alone, leading a team and supporting the General Manager with annual budget planning.
