Main duties of the job

As a Second Chef at Barchester Healthcare, you will assist the Head Chef in developing and implementing appetizing, nutritious menus that cater to the individual preferences and dietary needs of the residents. You will have the chance to work with fresh, seasonal produce to prepare high-quality dishes while also managing the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence. This role requires a personable approach, a good understanding of nutrition, and the ability to engage with residents to create tailored menus. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining a warm, efficient, and fun working environment, managing stock control, and completing regular audits.

Are you a qualified Chef looking to work with fresh seasonal food, with the opportunity to have more of a work life balance and make what you do matter?
