About us
PML is a successful not-for-profit, GP-led organisation providing various NHS community and primary care clinical services to patients across Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire. We have evolved as a NHS healthcare provider since 2004 and in the last few years have grown significantly, now employing around 300 staff with a turnover of c. £16m. PML holds GMS contracts, as well as being a GP Federation representing c. 50 GP practices covering approximately 650,000 patients.
Banbury Cross Health Centre was launched following the merger of West Bar Surgery, Banbury Health Centre, and Horsefair Surgery a move which is enabling a greater range of patient services and more opportunities for expansion, while at the same time improving efficiency by consolidating back office and support functions. We have 40,000+ registered patients and employ over 200 staff including GPs, nurses, physios, pharmacists, other health professionals and administrative staff.
We are proud to be a research and training practice, helping qualified doctors in all stages of their GP training as well as more junior doctors, medical students, and students from allied health professions. The practice is also a single Primary Care Network which provides the unique opportunity to integrate the benefits of GMS with the PCN DES.
