Job summary

We are seeking a Senior Clinical Technologist to join our innovative, Compass Assistive and Rehabilitation Service at the RHN.

Compass is the Assistive & Rehabilitation Technology Service at the RHN. It is a multi-disciplinary service focused on providing electronic assistive and rehabilitation technology solutions to profoundly disabled individuals both within the RHN and in the community (Compass is the Specialised AAC Service for West London).

The role of the Clinical Technologist / Assistive Technologist / Rehabilitation Engineer is to provide engineering support and equipment maintenance and setup to the team. You will help deliver a high-quality service to our clients. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective provision of complex technology, and work within a client focussed and dedicated multi-disciplinary team.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the team and will consider full time, part time and job share.

Main duties of the job

  • To support the Compass Team in delivering an efficient and effective assistive technology service both within RHN and externally, including the NHSE Specialised AAC Service/s.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of RHNs objectives and contribute to achieving them appropriately.

Responsible for:Engineering and Maintenance

Salary range:£41,891 - £53,148 (dependent on experience)Incremental reviews take place on an annual basis

Hours of work:37.5 hours per week

Location:Putney, Southwest London

Closing date:9th October 2022

  • Relevant Engineering Bachelor’s degree or other qualifications and equivalent experience.
  • Appropriate engineering knowledge, acquired through degree or HND or equivalent and significant equivalent experience.
  • Comprehensive practical engineering knowledge related to engineering specialism, such as, as relevant, the use lathes, milling machines, band saws, radial drills, soldering and electronics equipment.
  • Knowledge of role of assistive technology (AAC and EC) and benefits to service users.

Desirable

  • Registered Clinical Technologist or Healthcare Science Practitioner.
  • Post Graduate level qualification in a relevant field.
