We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic nurse or midwife, qualified in ultrasound scanning to work in a range of centres across South West London.
You will work from our clinic in Surbiton or Croydon, but travel to other sites across South West London will also be expected.
We are looking for scanning nurses who can deliver safe and effective
care of clients wanting to access, consultation for unplanned pregnancy,
surgical and medical abortions, contraception and sexual health services for
women.
You will need to be able to fulfil an integral role within
our multidisciplinary team delivering a confidential abortion service. You will
need to be motivated, enthusiastic, caring and empathetic. Pro-choice is a
must.

Main duties of the job
To deliver safe and
effective care of clients from admission to discharge in accordance with
Healthcare Commission Standards, NMC Guidelines for Professional Practice and
company policies and procedures.

Experience
Essential
- Current Nurse and or Midwifery Council NMC registration as a Registered Nurse Sub part 1 of the NMC register Registered Midwife. Up to date knowledge and experience of working in a sexual health TOP or Gynaecological service. Ultra sound scanning experience in the first trimester.
- Identify and escalate any risk or safeguarding concerns to senior colleagues and actively seek to reduce or eliminate those concerns identified in a positive manner.
- To embrace safeguarding mechanisms and support staff, patients and supporters at times when safeguarding principles need to be applied.
Desirable
- Faculty of Reproductive Sexual Healthcare FSRH Letter of Competence in intrauterine techniques ie IUS and or IDU fitter and Insertion and removal of Subdermal Implants. SDI Recognised qualification in Independent/Supplementary Prescribing.
- Ultrasound scanning experience in second stage trimester and post treatment
