NUPAS is expanding!!
We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Support Worker to provide a Receptionist/ Administration/Healthcare role in Buckinghamshire, including Reading, Slough & Maidenhead. The post is part-time, working two days per week, the successful candidate will be expected to work every other Saturday at our Maidenhead clinic.
The post holder will work to provide the highest standards of patient care and perform competencies as required as a Receptionist/ Administrator/Healthcare Worker. The successful applicant must be prepared to travel, delivering a supportive and non-judgemental service to patients and their supporters attending clinics, co-ordinating the patient pathway throughout the patients time in the clinic.
Main duties of the job
Clinical
Assist colleagues during the sensitive examination and treatment
of patients within the department, treating them with respect and always
promoting their dignity and comfort.
Chaperone as required with procedures, recognising when patients
condition deteriorates and escalating as required.
Work in a caring, professional, and co-operative way with patients,
their significant others, and colleagues.
Undertake pregnancy tests and record results as required.
Stock clinical areas and maintain the
clinical/administrative environment to a high standard.
Order and receive stock as necessary.
Ensure infection prevention policies are always adhered to.
Respect the confidentiality of information both on and off
duty.
To understand the principles of confidentiality, effective
verbal and written communication and the recording of appropriate
documentation.
Theatre support as required.
Service Delivery
Deliver a consistent,
patient centred, caring service.
Ensure all patient case notes are processed in a consistent
and timely fashion in line with monthly invoicing requirements.
Liaise with clinical and medical staff regarding patient and
medical queries.
Co-ordinate patient treatment pathway throughout time in the
clinic.
Co-ordinate and facilitate the delivery of patient
prescriptions and legal documents.
Prepare and complete Patient notes.
Remote Administrator Duties.
Referrals to external providers or NHS Hospitals.
Undertake cashiering duties.
