Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technology Officer to join the NUPAS team on a full-time permanent basis.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, pro-active individual to support in the development, implementation and maintenance of the organisations key patient facing technical systems.
The successful candidate will be educated to a degree level or have the equivalent experience and working knowledge in this field.
The role is home based, however, there will be an expectation to travel nationally as required.
Main duties of the job
To promote and support the effective collection and use of data, information, knowledge, and technology, to aid the organisation in the effective management of the patients pathway.
To manage the content of information within the telecommunications system and patient database to support the delivery of high-quality innovative care.
To work closely with the clinical and management team to continuously improve efficiency administrative and data management systems.
To analyse and present data to a high standard using statistical software and techniques.
Assist with the ongoing improvement, specification, and implementation of systems.
In conjunction with Line Managers, create and maintain user accounts and profiles, ensuring compliance with security policies.
In conjunction with Line Managers, resolve issues relating to account lockout and password changes.
To produce and maintain training manuals for NUPAS electronic systems
To produce and maintain an up-to-date hard copy of pathways for business continuity.
To log support calls and document their outcome to facilitate resolution of common queries.
To identify additional training needs.
To ensure users are alert to security issues and aware of company policies relating to system use.
To deliver training across multiple systems and to configure new user accounts ensuring appropriate levels of access and functionality are observed.

National Unplanned Pregnancy Advisory Service (NUPAS) has been providing surgical and medical abortions to thousands of women each year for over 50 years. We are commissioned by the NHS to provide free pregnancy advice, counselling and abortion services.
The post holder will have a duty to ensure that the principles of patient, carer and public involvement and engagement are adhered to in line with Section 11 of The Health and Social Care Act 2012 for Improving Patient Experience.
