Job summary
Mountain Healthcare Limited is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for registered general nurses.
Each region has its own dedicated SARC (sexual assault referral centre) which offers support and practical help to anyone who has been a victim of rape or sexual assault.
TThe nursing team are responsible for providing a dedicated 24/7 service for the forensic and acute requirements.
We are looking for dedicated Nurses to come and join our fantastic team.
This is a full, or part time vacancy (up to 40 hours per week, on average).
The shift times are 9am-5pm // 5pm to 1am // 1am to 9am.
Our vision for delivering this high quality service specification will require all staff to be able to develop new skills and we will work with you to provide the right support in a challenging environment.
Please note, all successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment checks including; an Enhanced DBS check, 2 satisfactory references and a Police vetting checks.
Because of the nature of the Forensic Nurse Examiner role applications are invited from females only. This post has a genuine occupational qualification under the Sex Discrimination Act, Section 7(2)b and 7(2)e.
Main duties of the job
The Forensic Nurse Examiner (FNE) will be responsible for providing a holistic sexual assault examination services within our SARC’s as part of a 24/7 rota.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing telephone advice to patients and colleagues.
Undertaking Holistic assessments including sexual health, mental health & safeguarding.
Use of a camera system to document injuries.
Information sharing where appropriate.
Producing individual management plans
Support the continued quality improvement of the service.
Forensic examinations and obtaining forensic exhibits.
Please note, as a service commissioned by the NHS, full COVID vaccination will be a requirement for this role (unless there is a legitimate exemption).
