Job summary

The primary purpose of this role is to work with others to support delivery of benchmarking projects within our programmes of work. Central to the role is an enthusiasm for working with data to generate intelligence and insight for a variety of audiences to underpin quality improvement and the sharing of excellence.

Main duties of the job

You will be allocated to a number of projects running simultaneously and may report to a different project manager for each project. You will work in partnership with both internal and external stakeholders to support the operational delivery of our programmes. You will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, assisting members and stakeholders throughout the process, andbeing their first point of contact for queries. You will have responsibility for coordinating project activities, drafting project outputs, and ensuring projects are delivered to time, cost and quality.

About us

We are the official research support team for the NHS Benchmarking Network, working with over 300 healthcare organisations across the UK to identify opportunities for service development and quality improvement. We also serve as the primary source of benchmarking data for the NHS England Workforce, Training and Education team, providing in-depth analysis across national mental health services. Our unique and comprehensive datasets support strategic decision-making and resource allocation across the UK healthcare system. In addition, we are proud to facilitate two major national audits: the National Audit for Care at the End of Life (NACEL) and the Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Audit (CVDPREVENT).

    • Educated to degree level (minimum BA/BSc 2:2) or 6 to 12 months relevant experience in a project management or data analytics role.

    Experience

    • Numerate with good analytical skills and experience of working with data e.g. data validation, data analysis, data visualisation.
    • Proven skills in searching for, summarising and presenting evidence, e.g. policy, guidance, key literature.
    • Good Excel and PowerPoint skills.
    • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work on a number of projects simultaneously and deliver to agreed time, cost and quality.
    • Self-motivated.
    • Good interpersonal skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Committed to service improvement and innovation.

    Desirable

    • Evidence of continued professional development.
    • Knowledge of project management methodologies e.g. Agile PM.
