Main duties of the job
Full-time and part-time opportunities available.
The clinician will work either embedded in custody or on occasion, on call, to provide medical services across the custody area (custody dependent) and provide up-to-date, evidence-based advice as needed.
As part of the Forensic Medical Programme, Mountain Healthcare Ltd has developed a framework to develop key areas of knowledge and skills which will be invaluable in all specialties, especially A&E, GP, paediatrics, psychiatry, and sexual health.

We predominantly operate a fully embedded model of forensic healthcare delivery (though there is some opportunity for on-call work in the West Midlands, when rota coverage allows).
The Forensic Medical Examiner is responsible for ensuring the appropriate management and care is provided to detainees in police custody promptly at any time of the day or night (according to shift).
It shall be the FME's responsibility, when on duty, to embed at the designated police custody suite (or to be within the force area, in the case of completing an on-call shift in the West Midlands).
