Job summary

Alliance Psychological Services is an independent provider of counselling and psychological therapy services based in the Tees Valley area and working across the North-East region. We are working in partnership with Middlesbrough & Stockton Mind to deliver the IMPACT on Teesside service.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative service providing PWP Modality interventions in our IAPT pathway, working with adults aged 16+ within the framework of the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Programme. PWPs deliver a variety of IAPT interventions, including face to face, telephone, and digital based work.

Main duties of the job

The post holders will hold an IAPT PWP recognised qualification, be enthusiastic, hardworking, and able to meet specified targets in order to deliver a high-quality Primary Care Mental Health Service.

The post holder will provide a range of evidence-based psychological interventions within the framework of the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Programme as part of Impacts Primary Care Psychological Wellbeing Therapies Team serving GP Practices across the NHS Tees area.

They will assist in coordinating the delivery of timely and effective Low Intensity interventions in collaboration with the PWP Lead and Locality Managers. They will provide guidance and support to staff in the Duty Team. They will provide line management and clinical supervision to qualified and trainee PWPs.

This position may require flexible hours between 8am until 8pm weekdays.

Successful applicants will be employed by Alliance Psychological Services Ltd within the IMPACT on Teesside partnership. We are open to accepting applications from full time and part time candidates, working a minimum of 22.5 hours per week.

3. To provide a range of therapeutic interventions

  • To provide assessment, including risk assessment, of clients referred for psychological therapy within the Primary Care setting.

  • To make appropriate onward referrals following assessment for clients requiring other services, including statutory and voluntary agencies
