services based in the Tees Valley area and working across the North-East
region. We are working in partnership with Middlesbrough & Stockton Mind to
deliver the IMPACT on Teesside service.
BUSINESS
DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
FULL
TIME/ PART TIME - PERMANENT
Salary
Scale: £50,000 per annum, pro rata to hours worked.
Main duties of the job
We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager. The postholder will lead the business development and expansion of services within Alliance Psychological Services with support from the Business Development Assistant.
It is the responsibility
of the Business Development Manager to grow and develop the business alongside the
Director and an established management team. This is an exciting opportunity,
in an expanding organisation, which will have a significant impact on attitudes
and behaviour around mental health in organisations across all industry sectors.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience
in developing new services, either from a business development or operational
position. You should already have established contacts within the sector and
will have a background in managing and working with a team. You should have experience
of working within mental health services, with a strong understanding of how
they are set up and how they operate on a day-to-day basis.
We are looking for a team player who is motivated and
ready to get stuck into a demanding and exciting role.
Full time and part time positions are available.
You must have right to work in the UK as we are currently unable to offer
working visa opportunities.

Business
Development
Undertake
business planning for opportunities that have been identified through Alliances
strategic objectives. This will include understanding the context of the
opportunity, market analyses including competitor analysis, market influences,
detailed information on current and proposed customers, environmental and
external factor analysis, resource and sales/income forecasting, staffing,
developing the marketing plan (including promotional marketing campaigns)
Managing
internal and external stakeholders, building excellent relationships across
directorates and service lines (internally) and with commissioners, potential
commissioners and other Trust-wide stakeholders including potential partners
(externally)
Project
managing each of the service developments, using robust project management
techniques to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
To develop the organisation,
expanding our clients who will be interested in a range of services, which will
include bespoke mental health programmes led by facilitated training, advisory
and other support services.
Shape the future
of the organisation by engaging in meetings that develop the organisation
and the services we offer.
Liaise with the finance team as appropriate when planning new services.
Marketing:
Work with the Marketing
Assistant to develop and deliver on initiatives and campaigns, including
creating digital and printed materials, and utilising traditional and digital
channels such as podcasts, video, webinars, and social media.
Lead on and assist with press releases and implement social media strategies for business development
within Alliance.
Event
Management:
Be part of planning,
managing, and attending events, conferences, webinars, and seminars as part of
our marketing and business development campaigns.
Procurement:
Undertake
detailed assessment and appraisal of bids and tenders and support the
development of business cases to inform the management team whether potential
opportunities should be explored.
Lead on
the preparation, development and submission of tenders, including attendance at
bidder information events; service modelling; writing, editing and formatting
of the tender submissions.
Ensure
that there are robust transition plans following a contract award to
operational mobilisation for new services.
Undertake
robust risk management and due diligence within each of the projects ensuring
these are resolved where possible or escalated if required.
Other:
Line management of the Business Development
Assistant, Marketing and Training co-ordinator.
Any other duties that may be required to facilitate the smooth and
efficient running of the business development functions of the service.
To operate within
agreed NHS, Alliance and professional guidelines, policies and procedures and
Codes of Practice.
To ensure a safe and
secure working environment for self and others and to take action as necessary
within Health and Safety and other guidelines.
To promote and value
