Alliance is the leading independent provider of children and young peoples
mental health and emotional wellbeing services across Teesside.
With a dedicated, committed and enthusiastic childrens workforce of over 30
qualified therapists and trainees, supported by a growing leadership,
management and support team, we deliver quality driven evidence-based
therapies and support over 3000 children, young people, families and education
settings each year. Commissioned through various funding streams, including
Local Authoritys, schools and the Tees Valley CCG and overseen through the
Mental Health & Learning Disability Partnership we also lead on the Hartlepool
and Stockton National Trailblazer for Mental Health Support Teams.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for day-to-day leadership and management of teams and projects within their locality, delivering high quality evidence based psychological therapies, within an I-Thrive framework, across educational and community settings. Working within a growing leadership team, you will support the delivery and development of psychological and emotional support to improve childrens mental health. The post will also be responsible for line/case managing of Lead Clinicians within a clear management structure.

As a Locality Team Manager, you will share our service vision and organisation values for understanding and meeting the different needs of individuals, families, and communities across Teesside. You will help drive forward our ambitions and vision to empower all children, young people and their families to thrive, by building upon their strengths and developing their resilience.
Leadership & Management
- Ensure the service is established within an I- THRIVE framework by developing effective relationships with wider stakeholders in education, health, social care and the voluntary, community and independent sector.
- Lead on operational plans for the service and ensure the whole team is committed to its delivery.
- Ensure the service meets the Delivering With Delivering Well standards
- Support the Service Manager in ensuring the service is meeting all contract requirements, working alongside commissioners and contract managers, including the role out of Mental Health Support Teams, by providing training, advise and consultation to Senior Mental Health Leads in educational settings.
- Provide leadership and direct line management for Lead Clinicians and ensure a shared leadership and management approach is in place across the locality.
- Ensure processes are in place for managing and reporting on performance targets and standards across the locality.
- Create a positive working environment in which the importance of equality and diversity is recognised, health, safety and wellbeing are supported and dignity at work is upheld. Ensure compliance across the locality with the Information Governance Strategy and policies.
Clinical responsibilities:
- Work with the Service Manager and Lead Clinicians to ensure all pathways are in place, maintained and regularly reviewed across the service.
- Ensure clinical risk is effectively managed across the locality including safeguarding children and young people and vulnerable adults.
- Work with the Service Manager to ensure all feedback and complaints from service users or others are properly acknowledged, considered and addressed, and any trends identified and that learning from feedback and complaints is incorporated into training and service development work.
- To hold a small clinical case load working therapeutically with children, young people and their families
- Work with Lead Clinicians to ensure effective waiting list management is in place.
- Ensure the service maintains an appropriate clinical supervision plan and workforce and when required the delivery of supervision and effective line management of the leadership and wider team.
General:

- Holds a recognised membership of a relevant professional body (ie BACP/BABCP BAAT/UKCP/BPS)
- Holds or is willing to undertake supervision training
