Job summary

Salford Primary Care Together (SPCT)Community Interest Company(CIC) is looking to recruit a Practice Nurse to join our dedicated practice team within Salford.

The role will be based at our Eccles site with occasional shifts carried out at our Little Hulton and Salford practices as per the needs of the business.

Previous experience of working in practice is preferable but not essential.

Part Time or Full Time hours available for the right applicant with the opportunity of flexible working hours that suit the needs of the business. Our practice opening hours are 8am - 8pm everyday. Occasional weekend work may be required.

Full clean drivers license and car essential for Home Visits.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking an experienced Practice Nurse who will fulfill core responsibilities of the role which will include:

Long Term Condition management

Cytology

Child Immunisations

Vaccinations

Contraception

Swabs, specimens, bloods, blood pressures

Keeping accurate and detailed health records on the Emis system

A key role in QOF/QIF achievement

This post holder will also uphold the Surgeries protocols and policies, carrying out their role with compassion, understanding and professionalism.

This role may support the wider team with:

Clinical audits

Safeguarding concerns

Support and participate in shared learning over the Practice

Support for GPs in patient care

Ability to review clinical practices and respond to national policies and initiatives where necessary

Participate in local initiatives in order to enhance local patient care where necessary
