Job summary

Are you passionate about making a real difference in your community? Salford Primary Care Together Inclusion Service is seeking a dedicated Domestic Cleaner to join our team. Based at Salford Loaves and Fishes drop-in centre, you'll play a vital role in ensuring a safe and clean environment for our clinics, which provide essential care for people experiencing homelessness. Your daily cleaning tasks will help us maintain high infection control standards in both clinical and administrative areas, supporting our mission to deliver compassionate healthcare. Main duties of the job

The role will involve cleaning clinical and administrative areas to support infection control.

Previous cleaning experience would be beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.

We are looking for a candidate who can commit to 2 hours a day, Monday to Friday, either at the start or end of the working day (8am -4pm)

About us

Salford Primary Care Together Inclusion Service is a specialist GP service dedicated to removing barriers to healthcare access for individuals without a fixed abode, including those rough sleeping, sofa surfing, or in emergency or temporary accommodations like hostels, hotels, and B&Bs. Based in the clinical area upstairs in Salford Loaves and Fishes, this role also connects with the dynamic team downstairs who provide multiple services to the people of Salford.

Job responsibilities

Domestic cleaner SPCT Inclusion Service

Reports to Inclusion Service Service Lead

Location/Base Salford Loaves and Fishes

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To support the team maintain appropriate infection control levels in the clinical and admin setting by carrying out daily cleaning tasks.

The role will be based at a local charity "Loaves & Fishes" where the team run a variety of daily clinics running for patients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES OF THE ROLE

Typical expected duties as a cleaner - for example - mopping, dusting, hoovering, tidying etc - ensuring the correct cleaning materials are used.

Completion of daily cleaning and COSH records.

Stock take of cleaning products.

Reporting to line manager.

Safeguarding is everyones responsibility. Employees must at all times have regards for the need to safeguard, inclusive of Modern day Slavery and Human Trafficking and promote the welfare of children and adults at risk in line with legislation. Employees of SPCT must follow all safeguarding policies and procedures and reporting mechanisms to raise safeguarding concerns and keep up to date with safeguarding training as required.

You must take reasonable care of your own health, safety and wellbeing, and that of your colleagues, in accordance with the Health and Safety policy.

You are required to uphold the confidentiality of all records held by SPCT, whether they are patient records, employee records or management information.
