Job summary

Salford Primary Care Together CIC are looking for values-driven, passionate, and determined GPs to join our dedicated group of practices across Salford. Whether you are recently qualified, or an experienced GP, your desire to deliver better health outcomes, address inequalities in health and improve the provision of primary care for some of the most vulnerable people in Salford are the key assets that we are looking for.

Our unique focus at Salford Primary Care Together is centred around the progression of people; our patients, services users, and our staff. The vision we have to advance the health and wellbeing of our people in the Salford area stems from the grassroots of Salford itself. Main duties of the job

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self‐referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation

· Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness

· Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate

· Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards, collecting data for audit purposes

· In general, the post‐holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

· Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines

· Collaboratively work with Primary Care Networks

About us

Salford Primary Care Together is a not-for profit CIC that operates in 3 areas of Salford that are ranked as some of the most deprived areas of Greater Manchester. SPCT’s aim is to deliver high quality primary care services to improve the health outcomes of our populations whilst tacking health inequalities and working with some of the most marginalised patients in the country. Our Inclusion team helps the most vulnerable people in our region, it is a GP service that supports people experiencing homelessness and other marginalised groups, across Salford through the removal of common barriers in accessing healthcare. Our other services are the EPiC service that provides 24-hour primary and urgent care to the region, our Academy service, that provides the practical training of new generations of nurses and our three GP Practices (Eccles Gateway, Willow Tree and Little Hulton) that strives to deliver the best patient care through our values-driven, profit for purpose ethos.

· Opportunities for professional development, including helping to develop new services where a need has been identified

· Flexibility in number of sessions available – full or part-time

· Competitive salary, with enhancements for additional responsibilities

· Full payment of Medical Indemnity Insurance

· NHS pension

· 6 weeks holiday

· Study leave is also available
