Salford
Primary Care Together opened its first COVID-19 Vaccination Centre in mid-December
2021 and continuous to vaccinate thousands of people each week.
Our Vaccination Centres are based within the city of Salford.
The hours of operation are 12 hours per day, seven days a week, where our
dedicated teams will be vaccinating members of our local community as per the
Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) priority guidance.
We are calling on individuals to support our vaccination service
through a number of key roles, including a Rota Co-ordinator role.
As a Rota Co-ordinator you will work as part of a dynamic team
in delivering a safe and effective service for the mass delivery of the
COVID-19 vaccinations.
Main duties of the job
The Rota Co-ordinator will be responsible for ensuring
that our Vaccination Centres, and any subsequent centres, are fully staffed
with the right people at the right time. Duties will include the following:
Sourcing individuals who can work as part of the COVID
vaccination programme and adding them to vaccination rota;
Liaising with COVID Vaccination Programme leads to ensure future
forward planning of staffing;
Work in close partnership with the clinical education team to
support in the training compliance of vaccinators.
Work closely with HR partners to ensure compliance & quality
You will be key in supporting the vital next phase in the health
services COVID-19 response. This role will appeal to individuals who want to

The successful candidate will be required to work on site at
SPCT head office or associated premises.
2.
The working hours will be a standard working week, but flexibility
in terms of location and hours will be provided as there will be an element of
weekend working that will need to be agreed.

working days will be Monday to Sunday each week (37.5 hours) dependant on
demand within the service.

Office, but expected to work at any location of
service delivery.
JOB SUMMARY
The
Rota Coordinator is responsible for the successful operational management and
oversight of the Clinical rota across Salford Primary Care Togethers Covid
Vaccination Service.
Working
as part of the vaccination management team, the post holder is responsible for
the efficient and effective operation of the clinical scheduling and
appointments systems, including responding to requests for leave from clinical
colleagues, preparation and organisation of the rotas, locum booking and
checking, loading appointment schedules and dealing with requests for changes
for the entire vaccination programme.
The
team work together to ensure that tasks are carried out to the required
deadlines to support delivery of the vaccination programme and has to respond
to rapidly changing circumstances and have a positive and flexible approach to
all their work.
The
post holder organises their work and manages their time effectively to ensure
that all tasks are completed within the required timescales.
The
position also involves close liaison with the Finance and Human Resources team
and liaising with independent service providers to book locum clinicians as
well as organising clinical rooms and staff inductions to sites and services.
