Role Summary
As the Senior Therapy Radiographer, you are part of a dedicated team responsible for radiotherapy services within the above named centre. You will work as part of an integrated team, expected to rotate across multiple treatment platforms & modalities within the centre as the need arises to support the overall radiotherapy service. You will be willing to build a wide-ranging clinical skillset and develop yourself into an experienced imaging and treatment practitioner for complex treatments, including SABR, SRS and adaptive MR-Linac treatments.
You will be comfortable delivering process innovation, with the drive and tenacity to ensure that excellence is achieved while maintaining positive relationships. You will be an experienced Therapy Radiographer, comfortable and confident working collaboratively with a wide range of health care professionals.
Key areas for the role:
- Work as part of an integrated radiotherapy team and drive operational, technical, and clinical excellence in the utilisation of all platforms within your centre, so that all operational objectives and standards are achieved, and the reputation of GenesisCare for exceptional service and outcomes is promoted.
- Support the clinical and non-clinical team in aspects of radiotherapy operations, supporting safe, high quality and efficient patient management on all treatment platforms.
- Assist the Lead Therapy Radiographer with the development of protocols, areas of technical and clinical research and implementation of clinical trials across multiple radiotherapy platforms.
Reporting lines:
As the Senior Therapy Radiographer, you operationally report directly to the Lead Therapy Radiographer.
You have no direct reports but will be expected to provide training and support to staff members in training or students undertaking placements within the centre.
Reporting lines and direct reports may change from time to time in line with the requirements of the role.

- Liaise closely with the multi-disciplinary team.
- Follow all duties as a health and care professions council (HCPC) registrant (standards of conduct, performance, and ethics).

- Contribute to the effective performance of the radiotherapy team.
- Create the right environment for all clinical, medical physics, diagnostic and radiotherapy staff to work effectively together as a team.
- Ensure that clinical protocols, policies, and procedures are followed and operate in full compliance.
- Ensure that you maintain safe and effective working practices, including radiation protection, MR safety, the operation of equipment and systems in use in the centre.
