Job summary
Are you passionate about improving healthcare and enhancing
patient safety? Would you like to contribute to delivering high-quality
medicines optimisation services? We are currently seeking a dedicated Medicines
Optimisation Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic Pharmicus team on a permanent basis working up to 27 hours per week.
As a Medicines Optimisation Pharmacy Technician, you will
work closely with other pharmacy technicians, pharmacists and a variety of
healthcare professionals across Gateshead, Newcastle, and South Tyneside to
carry out various pieces of work to improve cost-efficiencies and safety of
medicines. The successful candidates will be supported by an experienced team
of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, working collaboratively across the
region
Please note:
We would still love to hear from qualified pharmacy technicians even if you have no prior
primary care experience. Training required will be provided to the successful candidate.

- NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Services and appropriate underpinning knowledge (BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent)
- Professional Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council
Experience

- Interest in Primary Care Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation
- IT Literate
- Basic pharmaceutical knowledge of commonly used drugs, side effects and where to find further information
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Adaptable and flexible to change
- Self-motivated and well organised

- Able to work under pressure
- Able to collate and analyse prescribing data
