This role is a 12-month fixed term or secondment

We are looking to recruit a Band 5 Operations
Administration Manager to support Urgent Primary Care (UPC) Services in
Gateshead. This is a temporary full time position, to cover maternity leave, working
as part of a small but very supportive admin team.

administrative duties. It is essential that you have excellent inter-personal

have strong leadership skills.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible as
key requirements of this role may involve weekend working / unsociable hours
and there is an expectation that the post holder with undertake on-call
responsibility.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will support the management of the
Urgent Primary Care (UPC) Service which operates 7 days a week, 24/7, ensuring
that all rota shifts including standby are filled.
The post holder will manage day to day UPC activity
and deputise for the UPC Service Lead as required.
Additional administrative duties will also be
required, e.g., prescription management, management of Adastra, overseeing
reports for NEAS and YAS, and liaison, coordination and organisation of
meetings and training. The postholder
will be responsible for a defined group of staff and all areas of line
management.
The service operates from several locations, the
post holder will be required to work autonomously and flexibly at other
locations.
