Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our expanding CBC Health Bureau team.

We are looking for an experienced administrator with a "can do" attitude who is used to working in a flexible and ever changing landscape and used to dealing with multiple tasks. The successful applicant will be will be proficient in a variety of IT systems and will be familiar with the use of EMIS Web in a Primary Care setting and have clinical coding experience.

Interviews will be held Week Commencing 29th August 2022

Main duties of the job

CBC Health are developing services working at scale to provide back-office functions to support General Practice. As part of this facility we have developed a system for document management to support local practices.

The main responsibilities of the post-holder will be to use EMIS Web working strictly in accordance with company protocols to triage and clinically code correspondence. The post-holder will have regular contact with Gateshead practices and their teams to ensure the effective delivery of the document management service. The post-holder will also have some involvement in the development of other services provided by the Bureau.

Follow locally defined variations to coding rules where defined in each of the organisations clinical coding policy.

Be organised and prioritise workload as appropriate to meet the agreed weekly/monthly clinical coding deadlines.

Act as an ambassador for CBC Health by providing a professional document management and coding service.

  • Minimum 4 GCSEs including English and Maths
  • ECDL or equivalent experience

  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Evidence of an ability to build successful working relationships with a range of professionals and administrative staff
  • Problem solving skills

  • Ability to handle a busy and varied workload
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow a process
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
