Job summary

We are seeking a dedicated Head of Quality and Risk for the North region. In this pivotal role, you will take full responsibility for Quality and Risk Management, providing essential guidance and support to the Chief Commercial and Operations Officer North. Your expertise will ensure compliance with CQC regulations and Quality Standards for Imaging (QSI) across various scanning modalities.

Main duties of the job

You will develop and implement the regional patient safety incident framework plan, manage incidents, complaints, and claims, and support risk assessment. Additionally, you will guide lessons learned and drive continuous service improvement across the region. By providing information on best practices and safe systems of work, you will help set company policy and guidance, maintaining quality assurance systems and processes utilised by operational teams.

We are seeking a dedicated Head of Quality and Risk for the North region. Essential skills and experience needed for the role of  Head of Quality and Risk 

  • Clinical experience: A strong background in clinical practice, ideally in a relevant healthcare setting.
  • PSIRF training: Completion of the PSIRF incident investigation course, which focuses on improving patient safety through effective incident investigation.

Other skills and experience relevant to this role

  • Extensive Knowledge of CQC Regulations and QSI Standards: In-depth understanding of Care Quality Commission regulations and Quality Standards for Imaging across various scanning modalities.
  • Risk Management Expertise: Proven experience in developing and implementing risk management frameworks, including incident reporting and management.
  • Patient Safety Focus: Strong background in patient safety, including handling incidents, complaints, and claims effectively.
  • Continuous Improvement: Ability to drive continuous service improvement through lessons learned and best practice implementation.
  • Policy Development: Experience in setting company policies and providing guidance on safe systems of work.
  • Quality Assurance: Proficiency in maintaining and utilising quality assurance systems and processes.
  • Leadership and Support: Capability to provide guidance and support to senior management, particularly the Chief Commercial and Operations Officer.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
