Job summary

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our team, at the Portsmouth PET-CT Centre.

You will need to demonstrate experience working in healthcare environment dealing with patients.  

You will be working with a dedicated team of Senior Radiographers/Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners, HCA's, and administrative staff.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to work 40 hours per week. The successful applicant will need experience working in clinical settings or the healthcare environment.

Main duties of the job

In this role you will be supporting Radiographers during patients scans. It will also involve assisting patients and chaperoning when necessary. There may also be an aspect of administration as a key element of the role is to make telephone bookings for patients attending our services.

To be successful in this role you must have good communication skills both written and verbal, together with good IT and administration skills. A flexible, organized and enthusiastic attitude is essential.

Role responsibilities include:

Assisting in patient preparation

Chaperoning

Cannulation

Positioning of patients on the scanner 

Clinical stock management

Clinical audits

Processing of patients via our E-Systems
