Job summary

The Wards at Highgate Private Hospital require a determined, enthusiastic Staff Nurse to join the team.

The post-holder will provide high standards of nursing care that is safe, cost effective & patient-centred.

Main duties of the job

To succeed as the Staff Nurse, you will:

  • ensure that the highest standard of evidence-based nursing care is delivered to all patients and their families
  • act as patient advocate, ensuring privacy, dignity and confidentiality are met
  • report any issues that are identified by patients or their relatives on a timely basis
  • ensure that all provision of nursing care is documented on a timely basis and accurately reflects the patient experience

  • To complete the competency portfolios within allocated timeframes and ensure that all clinical training requirements are fulfilled according to local requirements and the Aspen framework
  • To ensure personal continuing professional development (CPD) is maintained to comply with NMC registration, including Revalidation requirements
  • To ensure that all mandatory training is attended and completed within the required timeframes
  • To maintain and demonstrate current awareness regarding developments in nursing and service.
