Job summary

As the Clinical Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to lead and support our team of nurses, ensuring they deliver high-quality, person-centred care. Youll take responsibility for clinical oversight, care planning, medication management, and regulatory compliance while being a visible and supportive leader for the nursing team.

Main duties of the job

  • Lead, supervise, and support the nursing team to deliver safe and effective care
  • Review and maintain personalised care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and professionals
  • Ensure safe medication administration, ordering, and stock control
  • Monitor residents health, responding to changes and ensuring timely referrals/escalation
  • Support nurse training, induction, supervisions, and clinical competency assessments
  • Maintain full compliance with CQC standards and relevant care legislation
  • Act as Person in Charge in the absence of the Registered Manager
  • Represent Iris Care Group in multi-agency meetings and build strong external relationships

  • Leadership experience in managing or mentoring nurses
  • Strong communication, clinical decision-making, and organisational skills
  • Investigating and resolving patient complaints involving clinical staff
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve patient care

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a Clinical Lead/Deputy Manager role
  • Involvement in CQC inspections
  • Management qualification (or willingness to work towards)
  • Experience in budget management or resource planning

  • Clinical Manager 37.5 hours per week (alternating weekly pattern):Week 1:
