Job summary
Are you interested in a Psychology Assistant Position but need Mental Health experience? Then we have the perfect role for you ..
Are you at the beginning of your journey to train as a registered clinician? Are you passionate about upholding the human rights of people with complex mental health and behavioural needs? Do you have some experience in a support or care role and want more opportunity for clinical supervision and to deliver evidence based interventions?
If you have answered YES to any of the above then we have an exciting new role in our service.
Please note this will include a mixed shift pattern Days / Nights and weekends 12-hour shifts and supernumerary shorter shifts where you will work alongside and receive clinical supervision from the clinical and support teams.
Main duties of the job
To succeed in this role, you must have an interest in and commitment to the practice of Applied Psychology, e.g. Clinical &/or Forensic Psychology. You will also be aware of current policy agendas relating to person centred practice, values-based practice and the need for services to continually focus on reducing restrictive interventions. Previous experience in working in services for people with Mental Health is desirable.
You will be involved in ensuring that all areas of the service have continual access to a member of staff whose role it is to ensure adherence to person centred plans (including Safety and Support plans) and to ensure and promote a continual focus on person centred outcomes across the service. You will also act as a link to the established clinical teams in our services, ensuring that prescribed interventions are delivered, that care plans are co-produced alongside our service users and their families, and that outcome data is collected and monitored on a daily basis.
About us
As an organisation we promote a culture of continuous learning and supervision, and you will have access to regular team supervision from qualified clinical staff and to individual supervision from our operations team.
