Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity in our Basingstoke Dialysis Unit for an organised individual to assist the Unit Manager with efficient clerical support and administration in the Unit.
Basingstoke Dialysis Unit is a dynamic 20 station unit providinghaemodialysis treatment for 80 patients in partnership with the NHS Trust.
This position provides the successful candidate with an excellent opportunity to develop existing skills whilst gaining further experience.

Main duties of the job
- To act as a receptionist, dealing with first-line telephone enquiry
- To input data onto systems as required e.g. patient activity, clinical results
- To liaise with transport and other departments, both within the hospital and externally, arranging appointments
- To gather information and prepare standard reports blood results, inpatient days etc.
- To assist the dialysis unit manager in maintaining up to date staff records. This will be at the managers discretion
- To assist the dialysis unit manager with correspondence
- To monitor and order stationary and other clerical supplies
- To maintain the office equipment filing system, photocopier, fax machine etc.
- To coordinate the efficient management of the unit dialysis clinics, with medical notes preparation
- To prepare and coordinate the clerical correspondence between the unit Consultant and General Practitioners
Hours of work:
- Full time role working 37.5 hours per week
- Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm
