Job summary

The Pharmacist Network have an exciting opportunity available for a highly motivated and focused clinical pharmacist to support with the smooth running of day-to-day activities for a GP practice within the Sheffield PCN

As a Clinical Pharmacist you will confidently act within professional boundaries, supporting and working alongside a team of pharmacists and clinical staff within the practice.

The Team

The Pharmacist Network are a clinical led organisation here to support GPs with the delivery of pharmacist and pharmacy tech services.

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for highly motivated and focused independent prescribing Clinical Pharmacists to support with the smooth running of day-to-day activities in our general practice within the Knowsley PCN.

The Role

As a Clinical Pharmacist you will confidently act within professional boundaries, supporting and working alongside a team of pharmacists.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a patient-facing role, working with colleagues to help resolve medication-related issues, helping to utilise skill mix, improve patient outcomes and ensure better access to healthcare.

You will support practice staff with prescription and medication queries. Help support the repeat requests, and medicines reconciliation, providing expertise in clinical medicines advice while addressing both public and social care needs of patients.

You will also support with prescribing practices across the PCN, providing clinical leadership on medicines optimisation and quality improvement.

The Skills

You will want to join our team if you are looking for a new exciting position in General Practice. Having previous experience of working in a similar clinical pharmacist position is a bonus, however all training will be provided on site.

You have a natural desire to provide an excellent service with outstanding communication skills. You have a high attention to detail and are highly organised.

Experience with softwares such as Emis or System 1, and having a prescribing qualification is desirable, however not essential.

You should be on the CPPE Primary Care pathway or will be willing to partake (The HCA fund this), if you have extensive experience then we can look into getting an exemption for you.
