Job summary
We are currently seeking a registered Pharmacy Technician to work onsite within the General Practices across the Little Hulton area, this is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to expand their experience and gain new knowledge in a clinical setting.
You will be supported by a national network of pharmacists and technicians who are undertaking the same journey remotely and working on-site.
Main duties of the job
In recognition of the important role pharmacy technicians can play in general practice we are seeking a professional pharmacy technician who can support the GP practice with general day to day workstreams, which may include the below:
- Undertake medicine reconciliations of patient record
- Prescribing in line with the practice protocols
- Update patient records, support medicine reviews and synchronization for groups of patients i.e. care homes
- Help patients to get the best from their medicines by switching the medications to agreed and approved protocols.
- Carry out prescribing audits and medicines safety alerts.
- Supporting with Medication Reviews
