We have a new exciting role for a PCN Operations Manager within the Primary Care Network, focused on supporting and improving the way the network operates.
Tower
Hamlets GP Care Group is a federation of 30+ General Practices which cares for
more than 312,000 people. Network One is a Primary Care Network (PCN) of four
GP practices around Bethnal Green in Tower Hamlets, East London, that serves
around 50,000 patients in the borough.
The
PCN has a growing team consisting of Clinical Pharmacists, an Occupational
Therapist, Care Coordinators, Social Prescribers, Health and Wellbeing Coaches,
GP Assistants and more, who work together to deliver enhanced care to the
Networks population.
This is a 2-year fixed term contract. This role is hybrid, some weeks you may be required to be in more than
others.

Main duties of the job
As PCN Operations Manager, you will as follows:
- be at the heart of the team helping to lead key projects, support staff, and make sure everything runs like clockwork.
- take charge of things like onboarding new colleagues, supporting line managers, and overseeing performance and reporting.
- play a hands-on role in delivering big initiatives like vaccination campaigns and improving patient access.
- Work closely with the Network Manager, to help shape the future direction of the PCN, build strong relationships with partners, and make sure the team feels supported, connected, and ready to deliver high-quality care.

Staff Management

Manage the induction process for new staff, ensuring seamless
integration into the Network team.

Develop and maintain a comprehensive induction programme,
including training, mentorship, and ongoing support.

Ensure line managers across the Network effectively manage
staff and adhere to HR policies.

Provide direct line management to key team members, including
regular supervision, feedback, and performance appraisals.

Support the Network Manager in monitoring staff performance,
addressing challenges proactively, and fostering a positive work environment,
deputising for the Network Manager as appropriate.
Project Management
-
Plan, coordinate, and deliver key projects, including but not
limited to, COVID vaccination campaigns and Improving Patient Outcomes (IPO) projects.

Develop, implement, and deliver initiatives to improve
patient access, including Same Day Access and an in-house Enhanced Access
service, ensuring alignment with clinical, operational, and patient
satisfaction goals as such projects arise.

across the community.
- Communications Strategy: Support the design and delivery of
an effective internal and external communications strategy to enhance
stakeholder engagement, team collaboration, and patient awareness.

relationships with new and existing partners, working under the direction of
the Network Manager, to develop and deliver initiatives that align with the
PCNs strategic objectives and broader healthcare priorities.

Lead the development and implementation of a robust
performance reporting system for ARRS staff, ensuring regular and accurate
activity reporting to the Network 1 Board.

highlighting achievements, and addressing areas requiring improvement.
