Job summary

The Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) is a nationally recognised, evidence-based programme designed to improve the health and social outcomes for young expectant mothers and their children. Supporting families from early pregnancy until the child turns two, FNP provides intensive home visiting by specially trained nurses, aiming to empower families and enhance their long-term well-being.

As a Quality Support Officer, you will be at the heart of ensuring the quality and effectiveness of the FNP programme. Your role will involve managing key data systems, supporting the FNP team with vital administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of the office. You will work closely with the FNP Supervisor and the wider team, contributing to data management, reporting, and the overall efficiency of programme delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Management: Take charge of the collection, input, and analysis of data using the FNP Information System.
  • Team Support: Assist in scheduling and organising team meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
  • Client and Stakeholder Interaction: Serve as a key point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Office Management: Managing resources, maintaining office systems, and supporting administrative processes.
  • System Optimisation: Contribute to the development and optimisation of clinical systems and Electronic Patient Records.
  • Performance Improvement: Analyse, review, and enhance performance data.

  • Proficiency in Data Management and IT Systems: Advanced skills in managing clinical data systems. This includes accurate data input, analysis, and the ability to generate reports. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office 365 suite software, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: High level of written and verbal communication skills are essential. The candidate should be capable of effectively liaising with a wide range of stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and clients. They must handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, ensuring clear and efficient communication within the team and with external partners.
  • Be able to work on own initiative: support colleagues, and take on responsibilities in the absence of supervisor, ensuring continuity and the smooth operation of the service.
  • Ability to Work Collaboratively and Confidently within a Team: The candidate must demonstrate a strong ability to work collaboratively with other team members, contributing positively to team dynamics.
