Job summary
We are seeking a highly dedicated and motivated Assistant Data Analyst with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be a part of our performance team, working alongside our GPCG Data Analyst. You will work in a partnership of local health and social care organisations, whose ambition is to improve the health and wellbeing of people living in Tower Hamlets.
The Assistant Data Analyst role involves delivering a high-quality information analysis to GPCG services. Producing analytical insight for discussion at locality health and wellbeing committees (LHWC), to aid in service improvement. Working closely with partner agencies informatics teams, both provider and commissioners to gain insight across care pathways.
In this role, you will be required to support the Performance team in producing performance dashboards and reports on
a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
Main duties of the job
- The candidate will be an analyst in the performance team. Providing service teams with data analysis and interpretation and findings. You will be proficient in excel and have an innate understanding of how to manipulate data in order to provide intelligent analysis which in turn informs teams of how well the service is doing.

The Assistant Data Analyst is expected to perform the following duties:
- Support development of new and existing dashboards
- Assist in the Identification of new areas of dashboard reporting
- Help upload and append data tables such as for Health visiting weekly activity
- Support in all areas of reporting and developments
- To work with the other members of the team to ensure that all reports are run on time. To report any issues with the running of reports to the relevant support team e.g., EMIS
- Provide support around the analysis, interpretation, and presentation of very complex health datasets & information to support decisions on health improvement and routine KPIs within services
- Aid the Data Cleansing and validation for GPCG Data sets such as for CSDS
- Support in the retrieval of data from various systems
- Ensure National and Regional comparative and benchmarking data is utilised in reports as appropriate
- Maintain processes for producing and sharing data according to national and local deadlines.
- Investigate data anomalies identified during analyses and feedback to relevant partner organisations
- Effectively communicate with internal and external agencies in order to ascertain the most suitable reports/data for their requirements
- Maintain effective relationships with internal and external agencies
- To answer general queries related to the presentation of dashboards and/or data
- Work closely with Business Intelligence colleagues and Clinical Systems teams co-ordinating work as required to ensure key priorities and deadlines are delivered across the organisation.
