Job summary

As a Head of AI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing AI-driven solutions that will shape the future of healthcare. You will have the opportunity to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and deploy innovative applications, predictive models, and algorithms. The successful candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, a passion for leveraging AI to transform the healthcare landscape with experience of managing full project lifecycles from initiation to finalisation.

Main duties of the job

  • Develop and deploy AI models and algorithms to solve complex healthcare problems, such as but not exclusive to disease diagnosis, treatment optimization, patient monitoring, and predictive analytics.
  • Design and implement machine learning algorithms, natural language processing (NLP) models, computer vision systems, and other AI technologies to extract insights from diverse healthcare data sources.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, data scientists, and software engineers to define project requirements, understand user needs, and deliver AI-driven solutions that address specific healthcare challenges.
  • Pre-process, clean, and analyse large datasets to extract meaningful patterns, trends, and insights that can be utilized for AI model training and validation.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and evaluation of AI models to ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance in real-world healthcare environments.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI and healthcare technologies, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Communicate complex AI concepts and methodologies to non-technical stakeholders and provide guidance and support on the integration of AI solutions into existing healthcare systems.

The Care Group was formed to manage borough level contracts on behalf of the practices, deliver primary care led services and support general practices, and to be the provider voice of primary care in the wider health and social care system.
