Job summary

Are you a Communications professional looking for an exciting and varied new role? We are seeking a dynamic, self-starter to join our small in-house Communications team within a rapidly growing organisation based in Tower Hamlets.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to expand on their skills in a wide range of communications disciplines, including internal and external communications, publication designs, content management systems as well as social media. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right person to make a real difference in an organisation that is responsible for a wide range of Primary and Community services within Tower Hamlets.

We are looking for an experienced writer with excellent grammar and punctuation, some experience in communications or journalism and an innate creative flair for design using simple desktop programmes.

The successful candidate will be the communications team lead for our local primary care. This will involve engaging directly with our GP practice colleagues in Tower Hamlets, understanding their issues and what the GP Care Group can do to support them. Another important aspect of the role involves promoting GPCG services and offers to the practices.

You will play a key role in helping us to improve engagement with all our stakeholders, which include our Care Group employees, members of the public, and our GP practice colleagues.

About us

Tower Hamlets GP Care Group (the Care Group) was incorporated as a community interest company limited by shares in September 2014. Every general practice in Tower Hamlets owns one share of £1. The Care Group was formed to manage borough level contracts on behalf of the practices, deliver primary care led services and support general practices, and to be the provider voice of primary care in the wider health and social care system.

The Care Group is also a member of Tower Hamlets Together, a place-based integrated partnership, which includes Bart's Health, East London NHS Foundation Trust, the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and the Council for Voluntary Services.
