We are looking for a talented Bid Writer to help us shape and submit compelling, high-quality bids that reflect our commitment to health, wellbeing, and innovation.

Main duties of the job

Supported by the wider Growth Team, they will be responsible for researching, developing, writing, and evaluating bids, as well as capturing lessons learned to inform future tenders and proposals. We are looking for someone who enjoys writing and has an interest in, and understanding of the healthcare landscape. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a wide variety of projects across health and wellbeing.

Interview dates: First-stage interviews will be held virtually on 29th August 2025 and will last approximately 30 minutes. Candidates who are successful at this stage will be invited to attend a second, in-person interview, which will last approximately 1 hour. The date for the second interview will be communicated following completion of the first-stage interviews.

Location: This role will require working from our base office at Bank Top Support Centre, Black Hill Rd, Leeds LS21 1PY.Please note that there is no public transport to our head office where this role would be based, so own transport would be required.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Conduct research to support informed, competitive bids aligned with strategy and market intelligence
  • Write, collate and develop clear, concise, and persuasive content based on bid documentation/information, research, and Market Intelligence
  • Prepare compliant bid documents and proposals
  • Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity, consistency, and the inclusion of strong win themes
  • Produce case studies that showcase our success stories
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather accurate and insightful content

What Were Looking For Essential:

  • Relevant professional writing or allied experience
  • Strong written English skills and a passion for clear, effective communication
  • Experience in writing reports or similar professional content
  • An interest in healthcare, with knowledge of the NHS or healthcare services considered a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management
  • Confidence working independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive and resilient attitude, able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
