Are you looking to join a dynamic and friendly team in a healthcare setting?

We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our busy administrative team at The Light Surgery as a Patient Navigator. This is a permanent part time job. The full time for us is 40 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

As part of our administration team you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our surgery. You will provide patient focused telephone and administration services that assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professionals. You will be a confident communicator with a friendly and welcoming nature, who is not put off by a fast paced and demanding environment. Experience as a Patient Navigator/Receptionist is desirable though not essential.

Job description

Job responsibilities

The job holderwill have to:

  • Greet patients and visitors, advising them of their appointments and checking them in
  • Answering telephone calls and managing patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
  • Scheduling appointments and managing the appointment calendar effectively.
  • Dealing with patient queries in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Handling and accurately recording incoming and outgoing correspondence, including letters and emails.
  • Ensure the reception area is left tidy and ready for use by other colleagues, together with any hand-over information
  • Complete the surgery administration, including registrations and deductions

The Light Surgery is based in the heart of Leeds City Centre, and looks after a patient population from across the City.

With a practice population of 17,700 patients, we look to deliver the best patient outcomes and service, focused on promoting wellbeing, delivering planned personalised care, good patient continuity and access to the right care at the right time through innovation.

The Light Surgery is located within Leeds City Centre on the Balcony Level of The Light Centre, just off the Headrow, with excellent public transport links, as well as all the amenities a city centre can offer. There is a discounted parking rate offered at Q-Park.
