Job summary

OneMedical Group has grown in Milton Keynes. Since1st of September 2023 we have delivered excellent care services to patients and communities across 3 sites in Milton Keynes: Brooklands, Whitehouse and Neath Hill surgeries.

We are pleased to announce that we are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join our team of professionals in Milton Keynes.

Main duties of the job

The Practice Nurse will play an important role in the future of the service and will be part of a wider team, who can be agile, innovative, and future focused.

The successful candidate must have experience of patients with a variety of long-term health conditions, be comfortable with change, able to work autonomously and keen to work in non-traditional care systems. A willingness to learn and develop their skills and undertake training relevant to their role is also essential, with an openness to support the wider nursing team.

Job description

Job responsibilities

You will have a passion for supporting patients to be healthy by utilising your skills in health prevention, screening, and early management of long-term health conditions. You will strive to continuously deliver quality and safe services to a high standard.

The post-holder will be expected to work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver excellent nursing care and to maximise Practice income such as QOF and enhanced service contracts.

Practice Nurse Core Responsibilities will involve:

  • Venepuncture
  • Blood pressure
  • ECG
  • Height/Weight/BMI
  • Health Promotion
  • Childhood and Adult Immunisations
  • Wound Care
  • Contraception
  • Cervical Screening
  • Spirometry
  • Long-term condition management such as Diabetes, COPD, Asthma
  • Some experience of long-term condition management and cervical screening is essential.

  • Registered with the NMC
  • Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum of 1 Long Term Condition diploma
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD
