Job summary

Minehead Medical Centre is looking for Advanced Nurse Practitioners! We are looking for a dedicated Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Minehead Medical Centre, to help ensure the safe, effective and compliant delivery of services to all our patients.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will make autonomous decisions in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients registered with our Practices. You will ideally have experience within a primary care setting and your high standards of patient care will naturally inspire those you work with. As a team were passionate about what we do, making sure that patients are receiving the best care possible and in the right way for them.

About us

OneMedical Group joined Minehead Medical Centre in February 2024 and are supporting the team there to deliver excellent care to the patients and communities around Minehead. The Medical Centre is a central hub in the town, with a team there that are as close-knit as the rest of Minehead's population. Minehead is a coastal town in Somerset, lying on the south bank of the Bristol Channel and within easy reach of Bristol, Taunton, and Yeovil. The town is surrounded by beautiful scenery, Exmoor national park, and some fantastic walks and cycle routes. Job responsibilities

In addition to standard nursing duties, the Advanced Nurse/Clinical Practitioner (ANP/ACP)role is accountable in conjunction with the Lead Nurse for the clinical governance of the practice and is designed to provide clinical leadership in the practice, in order to ensure the safe, effective and compliant delivery of services to all patients.Youll be working with a great local team and will have the support of the wider NHS Services Leadership team and our Support Centre teams as well.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Be registered with current NMC/ HCPC/GPhC registration
  • Have a MSc in Advanced Practice or equivalent qualification
  • Be a certified Independent Prescriber

Experience

Essential

  • Be proficient in managing whole episodes of care, whilst being part of a larger MDT
  • Work productively in a high pressured environment with a can do attitude

Desirable

  • Primary care experience as well as experience in minor illness management

Skills and Knowledge

Essential

  • Strong communication skills, patience and friendly attitude
