Main duties of the job

As an experienced Clinician you will provide a high profile, visible clinical leadership to the team at Lakefields Neurological Centre. You will promote and safeguard the wellbeing and interests of all service users, employees and visitors.

You will complete clinical audits within the service to support the site in becoming the best that it can be. You will lead a Continuous Improvement plan at the site in line with the CQC.

No two days are the same, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, but also a good amount of routine.

About us

Lakefields Neurological Centre will be a 22-bed service that delivers specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complex long-term neurological conditions who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise their functional ability and improve their quality of life.The Centre specialises in neuro-rehabilitation, tracheostomy and ventilator care.Bedrooms are adapted to individual requirements, fitted with high dependency equipment including ceiling track hoists, wall mounted suction and oxygen equipment. There are also well-equipped therapy facilities, spacious lounge areas and wheelchair access to beautiful gardens.

With a network of over 90 services across England and Wales covering Mental Health, Neurological, Learning Disabilities & Autism, Children & Education, there is opportunity for you to grow and move.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Being a registered practitioner with the NMC or the HCPC is desirable.
  • An excellent understanding of audit standards and clinical governance
  • Experience in undertaking clinical audit activities
  • Have the ability and willingness to use a variety of IT systems
  • Ability to disseminate clinical audit outcomes that generate changes to clinical practice with both individuals and clinical teams respectively
  • Ability to lead Continuous Improvement processes in a Health Care facility
  • Sound knowledge of the relevant legislative and regulatory body requirements (Care Quality Commission - CQC)
  • Knowledge and understanding of contemporary clinical risk management strategies that are effective in promoting and ensuring high quality patient care
  • Experience in analysing clinical information and creating reports for internal/external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to successfully motivate a clinical services team providing positive leadership and clinical networking opportunities
  • Demonstrate communication skills of a high level including written and verbal communication, ability to listen and summarise and presentation skills
  • Able to deliver education and training associated with clinical audits
